Cameron Holland ‘Cheap thrills’
LA photographer, Cameron Holland, grew up skateboarding & worked in the skate industry shooting mostly video for almost 7 years. But it was when he discovered fashion photography two years ago, that, like many of us, made him fall completely in love. “After that something just clicked & I loved it so much that I knew that’s what I wanted to do forever.”
For his debut feature, Cameron met with his muse, Kirra Hughes for a fun caffeinated night in the cheapest motel they could find.
“Kirra & I have been shooting together for the past couple years & love creating together. We unfortunately haven’t been able to see each other as much since I live in LA & she lives in NY now. So when she came to visit California last, we met up in our hometown, San Diego.
There’s this old rundown beach hotel we had been wanting to shoot in for a while, so we got a room & decided to play with the colours & patterns. I figured 35mm film would fit the vibe, so we drank coffee all night & shot two rolls of film together. We love collaborating & creating, & this is definitely one of our favourite shoots & nights together.”
