Sticks & Stones ‘Camera club live art show Brisbane’
It’s not often that Sebastien & I do events. Not because we don’t want to. More because we are super bad at organising them & turning up. But when Jesse Willesee asked us to help him bring his amazing live art shows to 3 Australian states including our own home state of QLD we couldn’t say no. The idea was just too good & just like that ‘Camera Club’ was born.
Last Thursday night we held the very first ‘Camera Club’ event in Brisbane at the top of an awesome old hotel building called ‘The Elephant’. 6 art directors including us & Jesse filled up 6 rooms with props & models to create live photo shoots. The doors opened at 7 & anyone was welcome to come & take photos.
With over 300 attendants equipped with cameras I knew there would be loads of incredible images from the night popping up on the internet. But when I saw our Brisbane photog friend & blog contributor, Aaron Gray juggling bags of film I knew we were in for an extra little treat & dubbed Aaron our official room photographer.
The intended concept of our room was ’70’s post orgy vibes’ but the more our incredible models drank the more it turned into a ’70’s partly clothed orgy vibe’ which was sexy AF & I had to stop people from trying to join in all night.
