Ainsley Hutchence S&S ‘Ebony for Oyster Magazine’
Recently while visiting Sydney I was invited to style one of the most stunning-in-the-flesh 18 year olds I’ve ever seen. her name is Ebony & she’s fucking beautiful & sweet as syrup.
I also got to work with a photographer I have admired for a while now. Her name is Renee Carey & she fucking rules. So relaxed & easy to work with that by the end of the afternoon shooting in China Town I didn’t even know if we had done anything, it just seemed all too easy.
A couple weeks later the shoot turns up on Oyster & I couldn’t be any more amazed & happy with the shots. Renee is a true artist & I needed to find out more about her which inspired out first ever Stics & Stones shitty Interview, one of many to come!

Renee: crayon, lasts longer
Sticks & Stones: What does your name mean?
Renee: Google says French meaning for ‘rebirth’.
Sticks & Stones: Have you seen & what are your thoughts about that ad on TV about pads for vagina sweat?
Renee: google helped me out with this one too. Everyone is beautiful?
Sticks & Stones: Rollerskating or rollerblading?
Renee: blading, but only if they are the old school ones with the big clunky wheels.
Sticks & Stones: Am or PM?
Sticks & Stones: What animal are you?
Renee: my spirit animal is swan but I feel more like a wild cat.
Sticks & Stones: Favourite magazine?
Renee: Junk Magazine
Sticks & Stones: If we gave you 100 dollar what would you buy?
Renee: more phone credit and maybe some wine & vegetables.
