Radical Fashionism ‘Radical Fashionism’
“Lauren gave me a Gucci tatt on my gooch last night” I believe was one of the first things Andy said to me the morning of the shoot. But even before that, I knew we were gonna be friends for life.
At 34 meeting new people that you like enough to actually use up your limited free time with is quite rare. You are fussier than ever coz your life is busy. You start saving your time up to spend with people who make your life better, richer, fuller, happier, inspire you in some way. All this being said, Sydney best mates Christian Wilkins & Andy Kelly are two people I would happily spend a portion of every day with for the rest of my life. In addition to being creative geniuses, they are humble, super nice & just really fucking funny & I have a feeling they got even better when they met each other just under two years ago (if I remember correctly).
Instead of attempting to describe two humans that are like no other two humans I have ever met, I recommend you head over to their brand new podcast entitled ‘Radical Fashionism‘, where they explore what it means to love fashion while attempting to figure out how culture shapes couture & its place in society.
In the meantime, here are some images we captured together in our mutual friend’s (Sydney tattoo artist Lauren Winzer) backyard a couple months ago. This was the most relaxed I have ever been on set! I just waited & watched in awe, cheekbones hurting from smiling so hard, camera in one hand ready to snap, a bloody mary in the other, while Christian & Andy dressed each other up in dreamy designer garments & positioned each other to mimic famous art.
