When she’s not nursing in the surgery room, French photographer Cécile uses her photography to produce imagery that looks at tumultuous relations between humans, especially during conflicts in love, passion, rupture, while her more recent work reflects deeper messages that are closer to her heart.
“Lately my work has been exploring emotional disorders related to the construction of oneself & the transition from adolescence to adulthood, tolerance (for example against homophobia, racism, misogyny), the society facts related to everything that takes place huge in our lives (internet, sex, food, various addictions, etc).
I try to play on the main meaning of objects by staging them in relation to their primary function, or by diverting them completely. I try to convey some rather subversive, sad, or provocative messages through images that at first seem childish, colorful & joyful.”
I’m hooked 🙂
