Inch Bikini ‘INCH BIKINI LOOKBOOK’

Dangerously sexy without endangering the earth. INCH BIKINI brings you eco-conscious micro bikinis to honour your inner minx. INCH BIKINI does things differently. “The fashion industry sees an obscene amount of textile waste sent to landfill every year. We want to do something about that. We take otherwise unused fabrics, such as off-cuts & end-of-rolls, to create smouldering bikini styles that flatter & celebrate the female form. Who says you can’t look hot while trying to save the world?”. People have a predetermined assumption on what environmentally-friendly fashion looks like. Inch Bikini is here to challenge the stereotype that comes to mind when people think of sustainable fashion.

For this look book, INCH BIKINI partnered with Melbourne-based Director, Amber Mealing. Determined to define a female-gaze & disrupt the patriarchy with her genre-specific visuals. She explores themes of beauty & frustration, always with a satirical element. The majority of swimwear clips revolve around the female figure, while this production from Amber & INCH adds several more layers of depth to that. Amber throws the viewer into a 70’s commercial where their INCH Bella is waited on hand & foot by her gold spandex-wearing manservant. Through glamour, trash & humour Amber Mealing ultimately leaves us with a sense of Bella’s Goddess-like empowerment.
