Shitty Interview No.12
If you follow this blog (thank you!) you would know how much we love & post photos from one of our favourite sites, ‘Johnny’s Bird‘. Well today we get to post about Moni Haworth, The gorgeous photographer behind Johnny’s Bird who has an incredible talent for showcasing super rad non-model zero fuck givers & telling their stories vividly through just 40 or so photos that she posts from each shoot. You can almost smell the cigarette smoke & musty hotel rooms from here!
Moni shoots to please herself but continues to inspire a huge amount of followers that she has accidentally amassed along the way. I’ve always felt that the best chance of succeeding is by doing the thing you’re best at & love the most, even if that means being broke as fuck for a while. Moni is a perfect example. And what’s really unique & refreshing about her work is that her subjects are also super creative types trying to make it doing what they love in their own grimy creatively messy environments, which are just as much a part of the story as the people themselves. Moni is much more interested in the ‘trying’ then the actual success & so her subjects are mostly broke youth.
without further adieu, please enjoy our Sticks & Stones Shitty Interview with Moni Haworth.
