Janneke Storm ‘Island lust’
After spending a bleak European winter fantasizing about her return to the hot Australian beaches & golden rays of sunshine, art director/stylist, Madeline Roberts gathers a talented team & heads straight to Stradbroke Island for this stunning feature.
“It was terrible! I literally had to stop following hot beachbabes on instagram to stop me from going insane. So when I realised I would have the opportunity to go back at the end of summer, my first thought was I want to be surrounded by as much golden sand as possible! What better place to plan a shoot, than on Stradbroke Island?!
Initially I think we wanted it to feel like an Australian safari, showcasing all our favourite Australian brands; Dion Lee, Holly Ryan, Anna Quan, By Baby, Lack of Colors etc.
In hindsight I think the theme slightly deviated, however the main essence was still true – grab your mates, grab a babe & some cool threads, head to the beach for some fun in the sun! I miss that a lot.. sometimes the process of shooting can be just as rewarding as the end product.”
