Millie Sykess ‘Like no-bodies business’

Melbourne creatives Millie Sykes & Michaela Vujovic have come together to create a series of colourful, whimsical character portraits that aim to demonstrate that the invisibility of larger bodies in the fashion industry is outdated. for me, this analogue film & handy cam photo series (with wonderful d-grade cinematic quality) does so much more than just that. I am so fucking in love with everything about this & I know you will love it too. Inspired!

“You’ve never walked into a store & have nothing fit you. & it shows.”
Big bodies are invisible in the fashion industry. This concept is outdated & tired. All bodies should be represented when creating garments because there is NO DEFAULT body. The beauty of humanness is the vast diversity between us all. All bodies deserve to have access to style, regardless of size.”
