James Beddoes ‘No muse (NSFW)’
James Beddoes meets with Sho Haze for another stunning collaboration.
“I’ve been working with Sho for years at this point. I love working with her as she always comes with a new look & new ideas to explore. it’s very much a meeting of minds when we get together, we just seem to get each other. I was going to describe her as my muse, but then I got thinking about the term muse. Often times photographers describe models are their ‘muse’, but I find it more to mean they have found someone they want to have sex with as well as photograph, it also seems to be a near exclusively male used term.
In fact the more a thought about it, the more the term muse annoyed me, it seems to remove the models creative input into the shoot and boil her part down to simply ‘inspiring’ the photographer! So to this I say fuck muse, there is no muse!”
