About AJ Molle

AJ Molle (pronounced “muh-lee”) is a freelance filmmaker and photographer currently residing in Portland, OR. AJ’s passion for making films began at a young age and the thrill has followed them throughout their life ever since. Over the years AJ’s films have evolved and grown with them, culminating to their first festival submission “You Will Find a Way” (selected for Slamdance 2016) an experimental short doc-narrative reflecting on recent life changes. “You Will Find a Way” was awarded Honorable Mention for the Fearless Filmmaking Showcase. AJ came back to Slamdance for a consecutive year in 2017 for the roles of cinematographer, colorist, editor, and sound designer in the short film “Ford Clitaurus” by MP Cunningham. It was also selected as a Vimeo Staff Pick and Short of the Week and premiered at other festivals including Nashville Film Festival and Filmfort.

AJ’s work varies from documentaries, commercials, non-profit work, narrative work, and music videos. AJ finds strengths in the roles of Directing, Cinematography, and Color. AJ is constantly writing, shooting, and editing passion projects in the midst of their hustle as a freelance filmmaker.
