Sally Ann & Emily May ‘Plastic heart’

This editorial shows Sally & Emily’s photography & mixed media body of works that play with the idea of the transparency & ephemerality in the age we’re living right now. Taken from Sally & Emily’s previous Sydney exhibition, they use plastic as a medium to generate visual manifestos, while the photographs become a performative screen to present them. Plastic Heart opens up ideas about reflection of the self, pain, pleasure, intimacy & identity in a temporary phase of life. The different personas that they captured in these works symbolises plastic as a moment of weakness between deception & realness.

Wardrobe; Zara, Asos, H&M, Balenciaga, Monki, Celine, Topshop.
