Eduardo Acierno ‘The way they blush (NSFW)’
‘The way They Blush’ was shot by 20 year old international fashion photographer from Mexico living in NYC, Eduardo Acierno. When he first met fellow artist Carla Escareño at a music festival last year he instantly fell in love with her designs & creations & knew he had to work with her…
“Her art was raw and honest, perfectly showcasing intimacy & female beauty in the most unique ways. As soon as I found out about her most recent project I knew I had to make something beautiful out of her creations.
As Carla said “These paintings , just like the clothes I make are my way of touching people. Clothing becomes your second skin, fabric and lace allows people to see what’s really underneath.”
We met with our models Amanda & Leah at this beautiful apartment full of natural light and mirrors. We talked for a while & sipped coffee & smoked cigarettes as Carla kept telling us about her upcoming projects, showing us some of her most recent pieces and getting everything ready for the shoot.
I tried to make this whole story seem as intimate as possible, because that’s what I want people to feel; beauty, elegance & intimacy through natural golden light, lace and paper flowers. A moment of intimacy, a quick glimpse on how a girl finds herself through her morning routine, see through but solid… holy but complete.
The most beautiful thing about a person are their tiny details that make them different, freckles, the way they blush, their skin & all their imperfections that we highlighted with flowers on our models’ skin”.
It goes without saying I love the shoot but I am also deeply in love with Carla’s interpretation of 4 of the photos below. One of my favourite artist collaborations to date 🙂
