Shaun James Grant ‘They call me jane (NSFW)’
In a new series by Shaun James Grant & Emily Jane, the character that is “Jane” comes to life. This transatlantic collaboration took place with Shaun living in London & Emily living in New York City. Having wanted to work creatively together for some time, Shaun directed Emily via Skype, while Emily posed & set up the shots on the set. The camera lens on her iPhone was strapped to the camera’s viewfinder, giving Shaun the ability to see the shot.
“Jane is an alter ego & a representation of isolation. In her self reflection this character falls apart in her seclusion. We intend to continue Jane’s journey throughout the year with the hope that we will shoot in the same room eventually.”
