Pharrell – Frontin’ ft. Jay-Z
I have the hugest crush on Pharrell especially back during his Skateboard P days. I’ve recently decided that he’s the epitome of the man I want to marry, particularly in this clip. If I’m being brutally honest the white jacket he wears towards the end isn’t really a vibe and I’m not really feeling it. But he looks so damn good for the other 3 minutes ya gotta let it slide. Every time I get sad I just watch this & it really does make me feel better.
2 Chainz – Birthday Song (Explicit) ft. Kanye West
This alongside Tupac’s ‘I get around ‘ clip represents what ignorant rap videos (and wild ass parties) should look like. There are so many clever little details going on throughout the whole video and if you watch Kanye super closely he forgets his lyrics several times and falls off his bike which of course just makes the whole thing 10x better.
Drake – Childs Play
Have you ever had a fight with your man in a public place & made a little bit of a scene? Lol yeah, me too. But after watching Tyra fight with Drake at ‘Cheesecake’ you’ll probably feel a little bit better about the whole thing.
Rihanna – Bitch Better Have My Money
This to me was when Rihanna peaked as the ultimate badgal. Every outfit she has on in this is levels. I’ve never wanted to be friends with anyone more than her after watching this.
JAY Z, Kanye West – Otis ft. Otis Redding
This clip came out when I was like 16 y/o and obsessed with Kanye. I wanted to be one of the models in the backseat of that car SO BAD. Seeing Kanye and Jay Z just look so happy together was one of the coolest things ever to me. I remember watching it and feeling really happy along with them, as if I was also apart of their friendship and knew them on a personal level lmaooo. The simplicity of the whole video the way it’s graded and the classic Otis Redding sample makes it one of the most memorable clips ever to me.
